Dedicated to Roguelike Gaming!

Welcome to OldManRoguelike!

I’m an old-school gamer, and so very glad to see that the roguelike genre and community has risen to such a level of prominence in today’s gaming world.  Roguelike games are the masters of emergent gameplay, and are also great for those of us who don’t have the twitch reflexes we did in our younger days!

This site will ONLY cover Roguelike games.  We’ll have video, screenshots, and discussion of anything you can consider a roguelike, and I’ll also be doing in-depth reviews of games once I’ve played them and experienced what they truly have to offer.

Here is a list of games that I have purchased or downloaded over the past few days… I’m giving myself a large library, and most of these games I’ve only slightly touched or not ever played.  I hadn’t had time to really take advantage of all the great games that have appeared on the scene for the past few years, with most of my prior experience coming in games like the original Rogue, Nethack, and very early versions of UnReal World.

Here’s the list of the first several titles we’ll be playing and focusing on here on OldManRoguelike!

Ancient Domains of Mystery (ADOM)
BRogue
Dungeonmans
Dwarf Fortress
NEO Scavenger
Tales of Maj’Eyal 4 (TOME)
Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup (DCSS)
UnReal World
Nethack
Angband
Cataclysm DDA
Infra Arcana
IVAN
Caves of Qud
Powder

There are 15 titles that we’ll be playing first, in no particular order.  We’ll be happy to play and give our input on any true roguelike, so if you’re a developer, don’t be afraid to ask me to play your game and give it more exposure.

This is just the start of our site, we’ll be looking to go with a full domain soon, and hopefully have plenty of content to provide for you!

Thank you very much for checking out OldManRoguelike!
